Introduction to Corrugated Extender

Corrugated expansion joints, also known as expansion joints, or expansion joints, are composed of bellows (an elastic element) that constitute the main body of their work and accessories such as end pipes, brackets, flanges, and conduits. The corrugated expansion device belongs to a compensation element. The bellows expansion device utilizes the effective expansion and deformation of its main working body bellows to absorb dimensional changes in pipelines, conduits, containers, etc. caused by thermal expansion and contraction, or to compensate for axial, lateral, and angular displacement of pipelines, conduits, containers, etc. Corrugated telescopes can be used to reduce noise and vibration. It is widely used in modern industry.

1. Before installing the corrugated compensator, its model, specification, and pipeline configuration should be checked to ensure that they meet the design requirements.

2. For compensators with inner sleeves, attention should be paid to making the direction of the inner sleeve consistent with the flow direction of the medium. The hinge rotation plane of the hinge type compensator should be consistent with the displacement rotation plane.

3. For compensators that require "cold tightening", the auxiliary components used for pre deformation should not be removed until the pipeline is installed.

4. It is strictly prohibited to use the method of deformation of the corrugated expansion joint to adjust the installation tolerance of the pipeline, in order to avoid affecting the normal function of the expansion joint, reducing its service life, and increasing the load on the pipe system, equipment, and supporting components.

5. During the installation of the corrugated expansion joint, it is not allowed to splash welding slag onto the surface of the corrugated shell, and it is not allowed to suffer other mechanical damage to the corrugated shell.

6. After the installation of the corrugated expansion joint pipe system, the yellow auxiliary positioning components and fasteners used for installation and transportation on the corrugated expansion joint should be removed as soon as possible, and the limit device should be adjusted to the specified position according to the design requirements, so that the pipe system has sufficient compensation capacity under environmental conditions.

7. All moving components of the corrugated compensator shall not be blocked or restricted by external components, and the normal operation of each moving part shall be ensured.

8. During the hydrostatic test, the secondary fixed pipe rack at the end of the pipeline equipped with a corrugated compensator should be reinforced to prevent the pipeline from moving or rotating. For compensators used for gaseous media and their connecting pipes, it is important to note whether temporary supports need to be added during water filling. The 96 chloride ion content of the water cleaning solution used for hydrostatic testing shall not exceed 25 PPM.

9. After the completion of the hydrostatic test, the accumulated water in the wave shell should be removed as soon as possible, and the inner surface of the wave shell should be quickly dried.

10. The insulation material in contact with the bellows of the bellows compensator shall be chlorine free
